Is Your Content Making Your Audience Sleep?
What are you writing today? Is it better than what you wrote the last time?
If not, who is going to read it anyway? There are millions of blogs published each day, so why do you think that a person would spend his precious time on your blog?
(If you are still reading it, thank you!)
Content creators want to churn out some fantastic content. The question here is: Is it possible to create worthy content every time they sit down to barge their ideas onto a paper or a keyboard? No, not really but we can at least try to make that happen.
There are ways to turn your dreary blog into a captivating one. All you need to do is make little twitches here and there, and your perfect blog is served on the platter.
You’ve Got 15 Seconds
What is worse than making your reader sleep? It is when there is a new visitor on your blog, and they bounce back within three seconds of reading a blog. It is heartbreaking and gut-wrenching to know that the level of monotony on your blog is creating Dullsville.
According to a report of TIME, an average reader spends about 15 seconds of his life reading a particular blog. So, you should be able to captivate the reader in the first 15 seconds or whoosh… they are gone.
You have managed to bring a reader to your article; you have their complete attention, but what next? What are they supposed to do now? It is your turn to be bossy and take them to the end of your article.

Start With A Problem
Like in this particular piece, a problem was mentioned, and you got hooked. If anyone who relates to the issue you said, there is a high probability that they would stay with you until they get a solution. Terms and conditions apply: Your follow up to the problem should be insightful.
Be clear about the problem you are going to talk about whether it is in the headline or the introduction. Also, make sure you have a reliable solution to the problem, or your blogs are going to be categorized as clickbait.
Be Sure!
What comes to your mind when we say brewed and beauty together? If your answer is beer, we get you, but why isn’t your answer ‘your own content’? Maybe because you are not sure about the quality of your work and know that probably it is making your readers sleep.
While you write down your ideas, you know if it’s worth your audiences’ time or not. So, while you jot down the next one and it doesn’t convince you, you should chuck that idea and work on the next one.
Colour It Up
No, we don’t want you to put rainbow colours in your blog and create crap in your well-written piece of art. All we want you to do is choose a coloured theme and give a structure to the words you have written. Publishing your work on a white background without any graphics is a bad-bad idea.
According to Forbes, adding graphics, typography, and colour scheme to a blog can help you to captivate your audience’s attention. So, get a better theme for your website slash blog, and maybe your readers will stick longer.
Give It A Structure
If you are asked to read a story, would you read it if it is written in one block, i.e. a paragraph? With no separate chapters, no subheadings, no breaks, nothing at all?
Well, nobody would, and the same goes for blogs. No matter how engaging your title is and no matter how many people click on your work, the reader will not stay there, after they see a big black block of words without any spacing and structure.
If anyone reads it, they must like you. So, if you want a genuine audience, don’t just write well, try to give it a proper structure as well.
Speak To Them
There are uncountable numbers of blogs available on the web, and on average, each blog is of 1236 words. Also, did you know that 52% of bloggers have accepted the fact that it’s getting harder to get the complete attention of the readers?
2019 Annual Blogging Survey also says that you spend an average of 3 hours and 57 minutes in writing a blog or you may call it unreadable content on the internet. So, speak to the audience in the 1236 words you are writing, and it won’t be unreadable.
Speak to your readers as if they were your friends and add an element of fun to oomph up your blogs.
Final Words?
Along with all that is mentioned above, make your readers laugh and make them feel you have a point, and you will be on your way to create content worth reading. Nobody will doze off after they visit your blogs.
