HOW TO GENERATE TRAFFIC USING PINTEREST

Pinterest is an amazing website, especially if you own an e-commerce business and you are selling products online. It is one of those platforms which is still yet to be explored, but let us come straight to the question which everyone has in mind as to how often you should be pinning on Pinterest so that you can generate a huge amount of traffic to your website.

The first thing you need to know is that you should be pinning multiple times a day. By multiple pinning we are not talking about uploading one or two or three pins a day, we are talking about 10+ pins on a daily basis. The more engaged you are in the Pinterest community by pinning, the better off you are going to be.

The second thing you need to know that it is not necessary that you have to pin unique content. Sure, if you have your content, pin it up, but if you come across some other amazing content on Pinterest, you can just click the “Save” button and pin it to one of your boards. By doing that, you will be able to pin a lot more content. Think of that as being something similar to sharing someone else’s Facebook update in your feed.

The third thing you need to know is that when you’re pinning up content, try to relate that content to the products and the services that you are selling. For example, some of the major companies like eBay, Cheetos, Wear, Dunkin Donuts and Burberry claim that one of their most popular sources of traffic on their website was Pinterest. Reason being that most of them had a lot of marketing-related infographics on their board and when these infographics went viral, it generated a huge amount of traffic on their website because everyone would just put them up on their Pinterest accounts. By doing that, they were able to generate tons and tons of traffic and quality leads.

The last thing you need to know about Pinterest is that you need to participate. If you’re not commenting and participating on other people’s boards, you will not be able to grow your follower base and if you are not increasing your follower base, it is definitely going to affect your newly added pins and content. So do not forget to participate in the community.
