Modern marketers should make the most of this channel to reach their customers. To understand the impact and significance of mobile marketing, let’s look at some trends that drive this marketing niche.

M-Commerce

While smartphones have been a popular online shopping method for quite a few years, the coronavirus pandemic gave this trend a major boost. Businesses noted that people started using their mobile phones as a primary tool for almost all e-commerce transactions.

Marketers can expect this trend of mobile shopping to continue even in 2021 as people have become accustomed to the ease of purchasing items online through their mobiles. To leverage this increase in e-commerce growth, businesses are advised to optimize their websites for mobile and do away with any barriers that may hinder customers from shopping on their website through a phone.

AI and automation

Most businesses today target customers through mobile advertisements; however, are these ads relevant to the customers? To find what the customer wants and then place those advertisements intelligently is a business leverage that AI and automation provides. It has the capability of ascertaining the customers’ browsing patterns, geographic location and other aspects before placing ads or promoting products and services.
