Have you ever asked yourself these questions about whether the content that you are posting on your websites, social media pages, blogs are getting the right traction or not?
Well, most of you know that ‘Content Marketing’ is one of the best ways to attract attention and new business leads or potential customers. Content creation is definitely time-consuming and it takes a lot of effort and it really pays off dividends. According to a recent stat, content marketing generates 3x times the number of quality leads that traditional marketing does and costs 62% less, so it’s a great way to go about your business development plans and would be better for your brand to invest some time on content so that you can get better traction and more people reading about your brand.
- 1. Better Headlines:
This is one place where you need to put in some effort as to what headline should go, which would captivate a user to come and read on your website. Even from SEO’s (Search Engine Optimization) point of view, you should always keep in mind to mention the primary keyword in your headlines.
- 2. Put in Visuals:
Always make sure that you put in photos or graphics or bars or charts in the blog content to keep the user engaged. No images and only text might disrupt the mind of the user and he/she might leave the website with reading your content. They are a lot of free tools available out there, but we would probably suggest that if you are not into Photoshop or Illustrator, you can always use Canva to add text to graphics, or photographs. Once created, add these graphics to your blog, so that you can make it visually more appealing.
- 3. Educate the Masses through your Content:
The content that you are sharing should provide valuable, actionable insights. The primary objective of content marketing is to attract and engage users and not promotion. Always offer some value in your content that might be helpful for their business, instead of making it look too promotional. For example, Trends, Updates, Guides, HowTos, etc.
- 4. Linking your content (both internally and externally):
Make sure that you are putting in links into your blog posts and your articles. You can always link back to other blog posts and articles on your website, or you can also link to curated content on other people’s or brand’s websites (backlinks as you may say). This will also increase the level of perceived value in what you are writing for your readers because you are serving up additional valuable content to them through these links and Google will also elevate you in its search results if someone searches in context to what you have written.
- 5. Making your Content work on other platforms as well:
The biggest mistake most content marketers make is to put in all the effort to produce a piece of content and then post it on one platform only. You should make sure that you repurpose your content and make it available on platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook or create an attractive graphic and upload it on Pinterest, linking it with the webpage.
Remember that marketing can never be possible without great content.
